On the 15th of August 2017, the spirit of patriotism permeated the air as the A.G Public School, celebrated 71st Independence Day. The programme commenced with prayer and then the Principal Mrs. Marykutty Jose reminded the students of the importance of this day. She said that it was a day of joy, a day to show our love and respect to our country. The PTA president Sri. Gopakumar was the guest of the day he unfurled the flag. In his speech he said that our country which was under the foreign powers for centuries is now free because of the sacrifices of the martyrs. He exhorted them that they are the wealth and the hope of the nation and it is their responsibility to lead the country and make it a great nation in the world. After the flag hoisting A. G. students conducted a colourful rally in Kadakkal town which was flagged off by Sri. Vikraman, the Secretary of PTA. Right through the way children were shouting slogans of patriotism enthusiastically. The rally was organized under the guidance and supervision of the Principal, and the Karate Master Sri Jayan. At the end sweets were distributed to the students as a token of love from the School.
